We Support Your Fire Code Needs
Generally, public spaces that receive pedestrian traffic, whether commercial or non-commercial, temporary or permanent, need to go through inspection by the fire department to receive an operating permit.
Decorative Materials & Films
The fire department, or authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) verifies finishing materials, such as, fabrics, wood, natural fibres, carpets, straw thatch, foliage and others are fire retardant. If there is no manufacturer’s report or label attesting to this condition, an external fire retardant treatment is required to be applied and tested for Surface Burning Characteristics.
Product and procedure used for such application must be code-compliant to meet local and national fire codes. BT Secure products and technicians are qualified to assist in this process to ensure compliance and safety.
